Well I had a pretty good weekend. I thought it really wouldnt that eventful because Collin was gone part of the weekend at drill. My stepmom Diane came up here for "Mothers Weekend" for BYUI to visit Cassie and we all ended up getting together. We went down to Idaho Falls and ate dinner at the Texas Steak House with all of Cassies roommates and their moms so it was a pretty good time. Collin also got me a present! He got this piece of tile and had our name put on it! It was really cute! I cant wait till we move into our new place so I can start decorating it!This weekend it started snowing for the first time. It didnt really stick too much so it wasnt too bad. Im not a huge fan of the snow now that I have to live in it. Since it was so cold, I let our two little outdoor cats come inside with me for a bit. The one thing I like about it when it snows, is getting in my pjs, snuggle with my cats with a cup of hot chocolate and a good movie. So it was very relaxing!
This was the highlight of the week... Collin called me Saturday night from drill and told me that he found out that he gets two whole weeks off from his training to come home for Christmas!
Orginally he was going to miss thanksgiving and christmas but now he gets to fly home! I was ecstatic! We are going to spend xmas with my family in CA this year which Im really excited about too! He leaves November 12 and will be gone for 5 1/2 months. Its perfect because now that he gets to come home for xmas, we only have to go a month and a half without seeing each other. Then 2 months later, I get to see him again when hes done with basic training and then just 3 more months after that and hes done! So I get to see him three times in a 5 1/2 month period. Still kinda sucks but a heck of alot better than going a whole 5 1/2 months! What a wonderful xmas gift! My husband! So in honor of such glad tidings, I made wonderful tasty shrimp skewers with chicken (his fav) and chocolate swirl cookies for dessert when he came home this afternoon. I have lots of projects that I have planned to do while he is gone to keep myself busy. Im trying to become more "domesticated" I guess, so Im gonna try to make a military quilt for him along with a military scrapbook. Plus, I think Im gonna organize all his mission photos into a scrapbook as well. I got a alot of new recipes I wanna try out and get a work out routine going too. So even though we only have a month left before he leaves, christmas is what will keep me going! Cant wait!

"Boo" one of our cats I let in with me this weekend! So cute!
