Grandpa Billy

I know that some people think that it is weird to post pictures of a funeral but I did want to share just a few things about my Grandpa Bill. He was born Dec. 2 1937 and passed away Jan 8, 2010. He had three children, Dayona, Russ and Chris(my dad). Most of us family knew this had been coming but its always hard to say goodbye. It was hard to watch my family cope...my dad, which was really hard for me to watch him get choked up when he was always been my rock, my cousin Carly who I know had a very close and special relationship with Grandpa and of course my sweet Grandma Jackie, who has known Grandpa since she was 16. I am sad for my family but so happy that Grandpa is now with his family and especially his mom who died when he was eleven I believe. When Grandpa was in the hospital he wasn't all that much there but he was speaking Russian (we have a strong Russian line in our family) and we believe he was reminiscing about his childhood. Not only that but he passed away in his sleep, no pain. The best way to go right?! The service was beautiful and couldnt have been more perfect. I am so incrediably grateful for the plan of salvation. This whole experience was very hard, I can't imagine not having the gospel and the knowledge of eternal families there to help comfort, therefore I am so happy knowing that all of us will see Grandpa and eventually all of our families again. And just to add, my cousin Emily had her second child John Emmit the day of the funeral which I know was very bittersweet for her. Here are some of my favorite pictures provided by Alex (Oleg) Kiselev who is actually from Russia and is a very close and dear friend to the Kaline family.

Just some of the flowers!

This is me, my mom, my sis and one of my brothers with the Kisselevs...Grandpa was a big advocate of and helped Russian immigrants get their visas and helped get them to America. Their also expecting their first child!

My brother Bryce

Just a few of the PallBearers in this pic...my cousin Andrew, my brother Bryce, a friend of Grandpas and my cousin Steve.

Uncle Russ giving the dedicatory prayer

My cousin Carly, Aunt Dayona, Grandma and cousin Sandra.

This pic was my abslute favorite. My dad had pulled my two younger brothers, Bryce and Davis aside to talk about his own funeral wishes when it is his time.

This picture was taken after everyone had left. By far the most beautiful gravesites I have seen. Grandpa picked out and purchased this place when he was just 30 yrs old and just one of the many remarkable things my Grandpa did... he purchased six other grave sites, all next to each other for his children and family. Yeah, my Grandpa was great.
