Next and last stop was Ensenada, Mexico. Collins never been and I believe the last time I was there I was 13, 14? It was crazy. We got off the boat and not sure really were to go, there were 4 different lines so we got in one which got us downtown and then we somehow got shuffled onto another bus which took us to the blowhole on the coast. It was about a 30-45 min drive which was acutally really pretty and then got off in this little secluded town. We went to the blowhole which was kind of a bust. The weather was pretty calm so no big geyser for us although I have seen other pics and it does look pretty cool. We walked back to were all the shops were which neat... crazy but neat. I cant tell you how many flyers, coupons, pina colada and candied nut samples were shoved into my face (which I didnt really mind). We did get a couple of small things, and Collin bought hammock that we can hang up outside our back window back home.
We got this funny Ramses mask for my brother Bryce which first went for $45! HA no way Jose! Lucky for us we got it quite a bit cheaper thanks to Collins bartering skills. Another thing that I always heard about Mexico was the open pharmecies there, wow. Collin, working on having a career in pharmecy, we were both amazed at what you can get in Mexico. We went in and they were offering all sorts of stuff.... Valium, Oxycoton, yeah all that kinda stuff, no prescription needed. Last time I checked that was a controlled substance. Before heading back on the bus, I did stop at this little taco stand. Just this little adobe hut thing where they actually roll and press the corn tortilla dough right there infront of you, fry the shrimp and mash the quacamole. It was the best shrimp taco Ive ever had. I think the tacos alone were worth the trip down there.
After our tour got back, we still had a good 5 hours in Mexico until our boat left but we were pretty tired by that point and didnt want to stay out till 9 that night anyways so we went back and layed out by the pool which left me looking liked a cooked lobster. To say the least, the cruise was amazing. The food and service were great. I thought that since it was spring break and Carnival I know isnt as expensive as the other cruises out there, we thought there would be a bunch of partiers but surprisingly we kept on running into a bunch of other LDS couples and families. We met an awesome couple at our dinner table who we hung out with and saw a show with on the ship and coming back to our room after dinner every night to find a new towel creature. It was so much fun and such a wonderful vacation with Collin.
