Lets Go on a Date: January

So this weekend we went on our "date basket" date. For Christmas I gave Collin a basket that contains 12 envelopes, each with a pre-planned and pre-paid(mostly) date just for us. Some big and some small but all something we have never done before. The plan is to open the envelope together at the beginning of the month and set a date on the calender.

The Plan:
So for this month, the plan was to go out and build a snowman together and cuddle together afterwards. In the envelope I included some rocks, a $1 bill to go buy a carrot for our friend, along with two packets of hot chocolate to make afterwards. However, we still have yet to recieve a decent amount of snow. I thought for sure by this time we would have plently of snow to make a snowman but no such luck, so we had to improvise.

The Date:We decided that instead we would go to the temple and go try a brand new resturant out in Idaho Falls. Collin suggested this new sushi place since we have never been to a sushi place together. It was amazing! It had a great atmosphere and had a cool little waterfall/pond with those huge colorful fish! I ordered a cooked sushi roll dish but then we also ordered something called a Kamikaze roll which is like a chefs special but always different if that makes sense. The chef just makes something up and doesnt tell the waiter what it is so its always a surprise. It was my first real raw sushi dish and wow, amazing!!! SO GOOD! It (I think) had shrimp, tuna, avocado, some other good stuff and the server said he saw scallops which Ive never had before either. I was so dissapointed when it was gone. I wanted to order another one but the downside to sushi is that its kinda pricey.

I seriously can't stop thinking about how good it was. Cheers to fun dates and yummy sushi!
