Graduation!

I didn't find out until the day before I left for SC but out of 1,400 soldiers, Collin was picked to be the Soldier of the Cycle, meaning he was one of the other 14 soldiers that graduated with honors! Instead of being grouped in with his platoon, he got his own special place with the other honor grads who got to hold the flag and then by the fence infront of all the other soldiers who had to salute him and the others before walking by. After the ceremony, the big head hancho four star general came and individually shook every soldiers hand who graduated with honors and presented him with "coins". It was such a honor being there and standing beside my husband as he got these awards! The general commended all the honor grads for not only graduating training but excelling beyond "superior performance" I know that sounds kinda braggy and I dont want it to sound that way but I am sooo proud of my hubby! I love him to death! He got these awesome medals and a plaque from the four star general. I am sooo proud of him!!! I know there are alot of pictures but I couldnt help it!

Afterwards the graduation ceremoney, we went to a nearby Waffle house for lunch, napped, and watchted the Office (our favorite tv show!) Hes now at Fort Sill in Oklahoma for advanced training and its sooo much better than basic! He gets to carry his phone with him to call EVERY day during personal time and no more drill sgts! I need to make a post on drill sgts alone, they are crazy insane. Its basically like school(just alot stricter), he goes to classes all day and studies and gets alot more personal time! Plus, he gets weekend passes, so I get to go visit him a couple times! Im planning on going down there for our birthdays in March! He should be all said and done in the beginning of April when he finally gets to come and stay home! Im so glad the hard part is over!
