Myspace... the social network

Since its May, I always reflect on the days Collin and I dated and of course when we got married...reason why Im posting a lot about our dating and courtship days. If I had kids and lived in a bigger town I would probably have more to blog about.

Remember when Myspace was the social network? Before texting was big? I had a co-worker, who is a good 4 yrs younger than me, recently ask me about some dating advice via text and Facebook. This made me feel somewhat lame because A) I don't know the texting nor Facebook etiquette when it comes to dating and B) Both of these were just on the brink of becoming big when Collin and I started dating (2007). Neither one of us was on Facebook yet and I'm pretty sure that I have never texted Collin before we were engaged, also probably because he didn't have a cell phone of his own after his mish.  So Collin and I dated in the "myspace days". This is a conversation I found way back when Collin and I we're dating. I found this I believe after 3 dates and went back and forth between Collin and his friend John's Myspace profile who by the way has foretold the future since Collin is now in the army.

MAY 8 2007:
Collin: Sup tard! Well its was good to hear from you. I thought for awhile that you had forgotten about me or something. Things here are going great! I'm dating the most breath taking girl right now...(well, dating as in we have been on a few dates BUT I'm pretty sure that there is something there) I'll just be honest, I'm crazy about her. School is going good, I'm only taking 14 credits but its nice to have a social life. Tell me whats up with you and your dating life (who is this someone that I keep seeing you with in your pics?)

MAY 11 2007:
John: Hey home skizzel, well I need to give you call, so we can talk outside Myspace. So tell me about this girl that is, as you put is "Breath taking", let me in on the secret. Hows school going? I had a dream last night that you were in the army! Well I hope things are going good for ya (sounds like they are). We'll talk soon.

Super cute!

Reliving your dating and courtship days is plenty to blog about! You don't need kids or to live in a bigger town to have stuff to blog about! School, jobs, the army, going on a cruise, camping, love---I'm enjoying every word of it!
I have things to blog about but I spend so much time catching up on what everyone else is doing that it's like I don't have a life since I'm not telling anyone about it---and well I'm working like ALL the time so I don't really talk to anyone about life lately other than Clint.
<3 your blog!
