Our Dam Adventure

Last week Collin and I decided to drive out to the Teton Dam. Ive lived here in Rexburg for over 3 years plus the time I was here going to school before I was married and never been. Collin is even worse, he's been here since his middle school days and never been and its only about 20 minutes away. So we drove out there and walked around a bit.

(look how perfect we are for each other, I LOVE him!)

We didn't go down into the gorge because we didn't really dress for the occasion but we thought it looked like a cool place to go hike down towards the remaining river after it broke. So yesterday we decided it would be fun to take the day and go hiking! Up at the top you can see all these different roads and trails. After about 20 minutes hiking down we reached the bottom and walked around a bit. It was beautiful and thought "hey, what a cool place to go camping". That's exactly what we did. We hiked backed up, called our friends Laura and Justin who is also in the National Guard with Collin, went home and started packing! I love spontaneous trips! We were back down there within three hours with some tents, a campfire and some tin foil dinners!

We saw a snake on the way there. I think it was the first snake Ive ever seen in the wild and not in a terrarium.

The place we camped at was beautiful! It was right next to some rapids which was actually kinda nice to listen to when we went to bed that night.

(check out that awesome sky!)
Hanging out by the river...debating if I wanted to jump in the freezing ice cold water. Please excuse my no makeup face!!!

The guys brought their guns so we took turns taking a couple shots.

Neighbors!

Laura and I ...sorry kinda blurry.

Ah. I love summer.
