Lately

Us lately... not much. Sometimes I hesitate to blog all together because to an outsiders view, I'm sure our lives really aren't that entertaining and I know that the world would remain unchanged BUT I do it anyways for our own little couple journeling and it gives me something to do when nothing else seems to occupy my time. A couple weeks ago me and Breanne, from one of my classes, went to the new water park here in town which just happens to be directly across the block from us. Oh and its only $5. Its nothing like Raging Waters or any big water park but it was fun to put on a swimsuit and get in the water.

We are also taking care of this sweet little thing for my sis Cassie while her and Jordan are visiting family in California (so jealous).

Our garden is still alive, thanks to a rainstorm the other day. The cilantro FINALLY decided to sprout (barely) and there are now little flowers and TWO tiny peppers in that just started to appear on our pepper plant.

We are still working and relaxing. Im kinda down though... I hate having money and not being able to spend it, let me explain. We have a decent amount in our two savings account together but because its a savings account, we dont take any out and defeat its purpose. Its pretty much there for three reasons... 1.an emergency if one were to occur 2. a big vacation (maybe Hawaii next year) 3. A house and kids, and since none of those are currently taking place we try to spend very little. As a couple one of our greatest accomplishments is not having any student loans and/or debt and we definitly want to keep it that way but I feel like Im missing out! What do you guys do to have fun without dropping a lot of dough?

To make my myself feel better I found a new easy and inexpensive recipe....red velvet and white chocolate cookies and wo, they were good! Don't they look perfect for Valentines Day or maybe even Christmas? Im saving this one.

we loooove the drive-in! it's $6/person, BUT you get to see 2 movies (so it's kind of like $3/movie) and the food at their diner is really good! or we do $1 date nights and get food from the $1 menu at mcd's and a redbox movie, haha. we're in the "saving for a house" boat, too. OH and the arcade is fun!
