Come fly with me

Its Sunday and the third day that I have had pink eye and this morning I woke up with a headache and a stuffy nose. WHY!?  I'm sitting on the couch right now watching the Other Side of Heaven trying to pass the time. As gross as it is, I'm glad its just pink eye and nothing else. The last time I got an eye infection it scarred the the outer lining on my eye, left some permanent scar tissue and almost blinded me, for real. It was a close call, so when I started to notice that my eye was turning red and getting a little tender I was glad to find out it was just pink eye and nothing too serious but don't me wrong its no fun. My hands are super dry from all the hand washing and sanitizer Ive been lathering on to prevent it from spreading.

This past week I got some time off work and didn't work for a full 3 days! It was nice to have some time off even though work really has been that... work. During the break, Rexburg becomes a ghost town which is also a break from all the hustle and bustle so it can be nice. I worked on a couple things here and there including that customized eye chart I found on Pinterest....

after playing around with some words, I opened up the hymn book and came up with this...

I like that you can see the full word at the end, here's the finished product...

So yesterday we met up with one of my best friends Ricky and Jalissa and had the best double date ever! Ricky just got his pilots licence not too long ago so we took this TINY little plane and he flew us all to Driggs about 15 minutes away and walked to a little pizza joint for dinner! It was so much fun. Ricky both let me and Collin fly the plane! Yes actually fly this tiny nutshell of a plane. It was definitely a scary feeling... not at all like driving (obviously) and not like when you go on a big jetliner plane either. WAY different but an awesome experience.

Yup thats my hands flying the plane!

Collin flying the plane...

Some lovely sound effects...

Flying over the Rexburg temple on our way back!

Despite my persisting red eye...that night I surprised Collin with some candles and a movie on our back patio. It was a cute idea but then the sprinklers left us scrambling to finish the movie inside.

Oh and I made a delicious quiche this morning. Hopefully Collin won't get pink eye.
