Borsht, pumpkins, and bigfoot fun

What a fun weekend we had! Usually we will go out on Friday and then just chill on Saturday but our weekend was pretty full this time! On Friday, we met up with some of Collins mission buddies who he served with in Ukraine. We got together with them and their spouses and had a true Ukranian/Russian dinner... Borsht. MMMmmm. I remember the first time I had Borsht... way back when I was taking Russian 101. It was a dinner social for all the students taking Russian. Collin sat next to me and convinced me it was good even though there's beets in it (yuck) but of course, he was right, it was delish. Oh and later that evening, he asked me out on our first date. Oh borsht, you bring back so many memories.

After dinner, we all headed over to get some froyo, hung out before we called it a night, or not! Collin got in his ghellie suit (think bigfoot costume) and went around causing havoc. We scared one of the couples we had dinner with and then we all decided to drive around and see what fun we could find. Collin ended sneaking up on a couple in the temple parking lot right behind them before scaring them and running around like a yeti. Collin was so close behind them he could hear their conversation. It was so funny when he finally decided to pounce! Im sure that couple will always remember the time they were in the temple parking lot and swamp thing attacked! We caught some other people off guard (including showing up at my little brothers place). I know, we are so immature lol. We unfortunatly don't have any pictures because we were laughing so hard but just to give you an idea of what it looks like:
Collin would go out and run around, while me and the others waited in our parked car watching him scare these helpless couples. Can you imagine driving your car and all of the sudden you see that running down the street? Bahaha!

Ok, so I was just telling Collin I was blogging about our adventure and how I wish we had pics so he had me put it on and then test it out just for you guys:

Now you see me...

Now you dont!
These actually arent the best because I didnt want to get too far into the bushes but you get the idea

On Saturday, we had a bunch of other friends come over for some pumpkin carving and hot chocolate!

Bryce thinking over what masterpeice he's gonna create

Our pumpkin. We found a picture out of those pumpkin carving kits... this was actually called "kitty-bat". It didnt really quite turn out like a kitty bat but I thought it looked somewhat demonic so we called it good.

Aw cute... its brother and sister pumpkins! (yes, thats my little brother)

Excited for more Halloween fun next weekend!
