February

I love February! I feel like January dragged by because all I have been thinking about is the month of February and all the fun things that are going on! Not just Valentines Day (because we are pretty low key anway) but because of the crafts, decor and fun cutesy treats! Here are some of the things I've been looking forward to putting out in our apartment along with some fun things to do.

...and the 14 days of Valentines Day! I made up something we could do either together or for each other each day up until Valentines Day! Stuff like make cookies together, a small surprise for each other, a love letter, etc. May sound silly or cheesy to you but we call it fun and a good way to add something extra to our normal daily routine because Valentine's Day is really about spending it with those you love! Our first day was to make Valentines cards for each other under $1.00 but came up with something better....

 we made a Valentines Day goodie bag for a couple we know who are going through some very challenging times. We went out after dinner to do a little shopping and had a great time putting it together. I really do believe one of the best ways we can show love to others is by service!

Another exciting thing we did was open our monthly "basket date" which was a Christmas gift to Collin I made. This month we are doing a spa date with the face masks, bubble baths, and such but has a very special and secret location which he won't find out about until we actually arrive there. I am 99% sure that he doesn't read my blog but just in case... I won't reveal the secret location but I can tell you it is VERY COOL and a little bit more exotic (shh) than Rexburg if you will. We usually pick out a random date together on the calender but since this needed extra planning and secrecy, I already had the date set for February 17th! So stay tuned!
