First off, I know I didn't post anything about a date in June (you probably didn't notice, haha). It would be a waste of time for me to post about that because it turned out to be a disaster on the night we chose to do it so long story short we ended up just getting treats at the store and watching a movie. I don't want to say "nothing special" because spending time with Collin is always special but as far as dates go... really, nothing special considering it was your typical movie night in.
However this is what we did for July's date:
The envelope: I included some money to go miniature golfing at a nearby place just out of town called the Riot Zone, which holds a special place in our hearts.
The Plan: To go miniature golfing since its something we haven't done with just the two of us.
The Date: Since its been super hot lately, there was no way we were going to go around 5-6 which usually is when we go on our dates. We decided to go out and eat but not until around eight and go miniature golfing afterwards when it would be a tad cooler. We ended up arriving at the Riot Zone shortly after nine. The Riot Zone is kinda like a family fun center. It has inflatable games/structures that usually the younger kids enjoy, mini golf, go carts, rock climbing wall, etc. I chose this place not only because its close to Rexburg but also where we shared our very first kiss! See the inflatable slide in the picture below in the background? That's where it went down! Yup.
It was a simple game of mini golf. It didn't have the cool mini houses or buildings but we had a BLAST! Definitely felt like kids (probably because we were surrounded by them) and let our competitive sides come out. We bought lollipops as we ventured through the course and took score. Collin won as he always does but afterwards we went and got Farr's ice cream. It was a fun date. The weather was great, there actually was a huge storm nearby so we got to enjoy the thunder and lightening as we played.
