This weekend Collin finally receieved his actual promotion for Private First Class! He was basically promoted about a month ago but never acutally got recognized for it, just paid for it but know he gets his official badge and rank. This is important in the National Guard because the badge pretty much represents not only who he is according to rank but also the respect you get from other commanding officers. Now hes on his way to be a Specialist next! Anyways I drove down to Blackfoot where they hold their drills once a month to be there!
He also got a "coin" which is sorta like a mini medal. They are really hard to get and the commanding sergeant gives them out according to top performance for certian events that take place during drill. He got this one for the fastest time in weapon dismantlement. I love my soldier husband! (He kinda limps in the video due to his broken ankle!) This is what I love about being married, and I know you other married people can attest to this... its like when one of you meets their goals, you both meet your goals. Its not so individual anymore, its something you triumph together.
