Thanksgiving

So since I have found myself husbandless this Thanksgiving holiday I am celebrating in sunny CA with my family! What better to spend Thanksgiving if you can't spend it with your hubby right? I spent Thanksgiving this year at my moms place with her and my two younger brothers and sister, and of course our two little cats! Thanksgiving is kinda lax for us, we watch a ton of christmas movies, play games and snack on appetizers while the big dinner is cookin. Of course, a little fiasco always breaks out when we start taking family pics. We never really take it seriously so that kinda bugs mom and then we think its funny and then somewhere down the line, everybody starts to get annoyed and then end up with some goofy pictures.

Collin was allowed to call on Thanksgiving which was the highlight for me! Ive been able to talk to him a couple times since he left and he sounds like he is doing suprisingly well and that hes glad he went to drill for a year before training. He explained that its not as bad or tough as he thought it would be and that its alot like when he was at the MTC just minus the spiritual aspect. He said he was lucky enough to get some not so bad drill sgts and no right out of highschool guys in his barracks. He said its funny to watch other guys get yelled at. One guy fell asleep during some class and some drill sgt started screaming at him to "wake up cupcake!!!" he told me that the first day some guys pee'd their pants because they got scared or nevous and its kinda sad because the drill sgts really let them have it. Thanksgiving for him sounded pretty relaxed. They got to watch Kung-Fu Panda and of course...had a nice government provided turkey dinner which absolutly just breaks my heart! It is confirmed though that he flys home on the 18th! He has four connecting flights and if none of them are late or delayed he will be in Idaho falls at 11:32 that night! I am SO EXCITED to see him! Only 19 days to go!!!
