The envelope: I love giving Collin his envelope at the beginning of the month. Its something we definitely always look forward to, it's fun to see him get all excited about what's planned for us! I didn't include much except for the plan and a mini flashlight inside the envelope considering most of the stuff we were going to use couldn't fit.
The plan: The plan was to do an indoor camping date! We would put up the tent inside the living room, make tin foil dinners in the oven, roast marshmallows over candles to make smore's and keep all the lights off.
The date: We did just that! We both set up the tent and tossed a few blankets and pillows in. We started putting together our tin foil dinners and tossed them in the oven. In the meantime, we broke out all the candles and used our new hand-cranked lantern we bought on clearance. However, we did turn on a movie once our dinners was ready. We crawled in, ate our dinners (which turned out amazing) and cuddled up with a movie. Remember the movie Bushwacked with one of the burglars from Home Alone? It kinda has a camping theme to it. We roasted marshmallows over the candles we had out and had smore's before falling asleep!
We definitely are planning some real outdoor camping trips this summer with some friends. Over all it was a great date night!
