So golfing wasn't for us, (click here for our failed attempts) since the only thing we've ever done is mini golf, minus Collins golfing lessons when he was in middle school. After finding this out we used our "September date" for August. We were much more pleased with what September had to offer!
The Plan: After just barely learning that there is a zoo in Idaho Falls, I thought it would be fun to go visit for one of our dates. Afterwards get lunch and return home to watch Second Hand Lion at home.
The envelope: I included the invite complete with paw prints stamped all over it, and money for the tickets and lunch.
The date: This time it was a success! Sometimes dates just don't go as planned but I'm glad this one did! We drove out to Idaho Falls and paid the $6 each (yes, only $6!) and spent the next hour or so walking around enjoying the different animals! Granted it wasn't a huge zoo but it was well worth it and a lot of fun. We saw the penguins get fed and later ran into some friends! My favorite of course were all the different cats and Collin liked watching the lemurs jump all over the place inside their enclosure.
Afterwards we went to Five Guys burger joint for dinner... another place we have never been. Once we got back home we watched Second Hand Lion with some popcorn before passing out for the night.
Since then I planned a new date for September since we used it for August, so in the end it worked out and we had a great time!
